Who was Chief Uko Akpan?
Late Chief Uko Akpan was the Leader of the famous Cultural & Music Dance group in Akwa Ibom State known as the UKO AKPAN CULTURAL DANCE GROUP.
He was regarded as one of the commander of the ancient music in South Southern Nigeria.
He was seen to be the promoter of the core cultural ethnic values of Akwa Ibom State, he sang mainly in Annang Dialect. He was honoured with Degree of Music during tge 21st Convocation Ceremony in University of Uyo, Uyo.
He has released many tracks in various albums with which he has performed with in various events, government functions etc.

1. Tum Kere (Think Well) – A music track that calls on the people to always think of the effects of their actions.
2. Asana Edet Asak Owo (Clean Teeth Gossipers) – Focuses on menace of gossiping.
3. Teacher Aku Kpeb – (Teacher Taught You) – Most played, music theme focuses on the ill treatment (poor salary, poor welfare etc ) meted on teachers who has been the backbone of other profession and the society at large.
